WE ARE AL-MUDASSAR TRUST
Founded with a deep commitment to supporting children with special needs, Al-Mudassar Trust addresses the growing needs of these children in rural Pakistan. We offer completely free education and healthcare services to children with special needs, specifically those living in and around Tehsil Kharian, Pakistan.
OUR JOURNEY
What started as a modest initiative in 1999 has blossomed into a beacon of hope for children with special needs. Al-Mudassar Trust opened its doors to just 8 deaf children, and today, we proudly serve over 450 children with diverse special needs.
In 2009, we moved from a rented space to a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility, designed by French architect and funded through the generosity of our Chairman and Founder, Syed Mudassar Shah, along with his family and close friends. Today, Al-Mudassar Trust is located near Baharwal village in Tehsil Kharian, on a vast campus that spans several hectares.
Our 93,000-square-foot campus includes fully-equipped classrooms with computers, modern audio testing labs, Lego laboratories, a library, a resource center, a mosque, playgrounds, and separate hostels for boys and girls. The design of the campus beautifully integrates creativity and modern functionality, drawing inspiration from the renowned French painter Claude Monet, creating an environment where every child can thrive.

- To offer a safe and supportive environment within which these special children can develop their full potential, leading to healthy and independent lives within society.
- To maintain a positive school culture where children are motivated and challenged by high expectations, and where success is constantly celebrated.
- To be widely recognized as a specialist school of excellence.
- To develop a curriculum that meets the special needs of its pupils with particular emphasis on communication, social skills and skills for daily living.
- To prepare pupils for the opportunities, experiences and responsibilities of adult life.
- To meet each pupil’s unique needs by providing innovative and flexible services in collaboration with partner agencies.
- To provide in house medical facilities as no such facilities exist for special children in the area.

Message of CHAIRMAN
“Growing up, I witnessed my blind siblings struggle with even the simplest tasks, and saw the immense challenges my parents faced in Pakistan. This experience left a lasting impact on me, and I made a pledge to both myself and to the Almighty: If I were ever blessed with the means, I would create something truly special for the children with disabilities in Pakistan. What you see today is the result of that promise.
For over 20 years, I have dedicated my life and invested significant resources into making this dream a reality. The Al-Mudassar Trust has become a lifeline for more than 450 children, offering them the opportunities and care they would otherwise be denied, left to wander the streets, and seen as invisible. The journey has been long and exhausting—both physically and mentally—but seeing our students achieve 100% success year after year assures me that my efforts have not been in vain.
However, the journey is far from over. Hearing stories of children with learning disabilities being mistreated or abandoned, or children with physical disabilities left bedridden, strengthens my resolve. This is just the beginning, and we have much more to do. My next goal is to shift public perception through education, and Al-Mudassar University for Special Education will be a critical step in that direction.
